Rohnert Park was laid out as a planned city in the late 1950s and early 60s, and it still shows. Neighborhoods are named by letter, the A Section through the M Section, and many streets are lined with single-story homes built in the same few decades. A lot of them are stucco with wood trim, and after forty or fifty years the original stucco has seen several paint jobs. The weather is milder than up around Healdsburg, but summer sun still fades west walls, and the afternoon wind that rolls up from the south wears on paint more than people expect. Hairline cracks in stucco, faded trim and chalky walls are what we see most here. Because so many houses on a street were built at the same time, they tend to need paint at the same time too, and you can often spot which ones have been redone.

We paint houses all over town, plus condos and rental properties near Sonoma State University. On the outside, our exterior painting starts with washing and crack repair so the new coat bonds to sound stucco. On the inside, our interior painting crews handle walls, ceilings and trim with as little disruption as possible, room by room. Phone us or use the form to pick a time for a walkthrough.
Stucco Homes in the Lettered Sections
Stucco is tough, but it isn't waterproof on its own. It's porous, and it depends on its paint to keep water out. Over time small cracks open up around windows and doors and at the corners, and water that gets in through those cracks can stain the walls and damage the framing behind them. So before painting, we wash the stucco, pack cracks with an elastic filler that flexes with the wall, and spot-prime the repairs so they don't show through. Then the walls get a coating made for masonry that lets moisture escape from inside. Wood trim on these houses, especially fascia and window frames, often has more wear than the stucco, so it gets scraped, primed and painted separately. Many owners use a repaint as the moment to update the color scheme from the original beige, and a darker trim color can make a simple ranch house look sharper. Neighbors in Santa Rosa with similar ranch homes go through the same process.
Rentals, Condos and Quick Turnovers
With Sonoma State in town, Rohnert Park has a lot of rental housing, and landlords and property managers need units painted between tenants without losing weeks of rent. For those jobs we focus on fast, durable work: patch the holes, prime the marks, and use washable paints that hold up to the next lease. Keeping one standard color across your units makes future touch-ups quick and easy to manage. Condo and townhome associations have their own needs, like approved color schemes, notices to residents, and work done in phases so parking and walkways stay open. Inside owner-occupied homes, the most common request is a refresh of the kitchen, where painted kitchen cabinets change the look of the room without a remodel. However big or small the job, you'll get a clear written estimate before we start.
